about

A rock love song, written in 1999 when I was dating my wife. A year later I sang it to her at our wedding. Advances in technology and my multi-instrumental skills gave me the opportunity to record this song now the way I'd heard it in my head.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Before we float down the river
There's something that we need to talk about
About how much I love you
It's time you know just where my heart is at

And when we are together
The two of us is more than you and me
You made this good life better
With you I am the man I strive to be

The windows to your soul
They shine a special light
The light that guides me close to you

Chorus:
Darling woman, when we're face to face
You bring so much joy to my life
Darling woman, get a closer view
Of the love in this man's eyes
The love in this man's eyes
The love I see in you

Verse 2:
The worlds we have around us
Have shaped us into who we are today
We are so many people
In all the different parts we've learned to play

My eyes are on this woman
I'm captivated with what you're about
So let me be the mirror
I see you beautiful inside and out

The truest character is you right here and now
That's all you need to be for me
